1. Why do you like John McCain? Because he believes in a smaller government.
2. Do you agree with all of his ideas to resolve the issues? Of course not.
3. Are you upset about the way the election turned out? No but disappointed.
4. In which way do you think John McCain would be better as president the Obama? Obama believes the government can and should intervene in individual’s lives and McCain believes individuals can and should control their own lives.
5. Do you think Obama will help our country in its time of need our not? Time will tell.
Off Shore Drilling
Off Shore drilling is when you extract oil from under the water.
The problems we are having with off shore drilling is with oil spills from our oil tankers. The oil spills destroy our environment and ruin our way of life.
Environment
McCain: He does not think that our nation can ignore global warming and that we need to do something about it. he wants to cut emissions in the market will force clearer technology in our nation.
Obama: He thinks that if we do not do something about global warming then it will bring consequences to our nation and to our world. He thinks capping emissions and giving incentives to corporations that that cut green house gasses will help stop green house gasses.
Global Warming
Global warming is when the green house gasses are building up in our atmousphere. The build up of gasses make it so then the heat that is coming off of the earth can not go into space. since the gasses are like a sheet of glass around the earth the heat bounce off and come back to the earth heating it up over and over. The United States have found a way to reduce the green house gass emissions for very little cost. The
Nuclear weapons
We the Unite States currently have 10000 nuclear weapons at the ready. Our highest amount of nuclear weapons was in 1965. The most nuclear weapons we ever had was 32500. We, the USA, have used nuclear weapons in 1946. We used them on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. We used them because we were winning the war and the Japanese would not surrender. Currently the Soviet Union has 5000 more nuclear weapons then we do. We were in had the most nuclear weapons in 1976 until the Soviet Union owned 45000 nuclear weapons in 1985. We do not use our nuclear weapons unless our country needs protection. We will not use our nuclear weapons unless our country needs protection and we can not use other means of protection.
mission statement
Obama: We are going to make this country a better place for the people in this world and end this war in Iraq.
McCain: We are going to help fix global warming, end the war in Iraq, and make the United States a place where people from around the world can find shelter (if their not our enemies).
Florida
The state I choose is Florida because Florida is a swing state. I also choose it because I love going to Disney World and Miami is a very cool town to hang out in. Ilike going to Flordia even if its waiting for the plane. Florida is also a swing state so it is important to the cadidates during the election.
florida conclusion
Florida is leaning towards Jonh McCian in their polls. Florida is a swing state so if McCain can win over Florida like the polls say then it could help him win the election. I think this would be a good way to predict who is going to win the election because it takes and over all count of people that are pulling for each candidate.
Political Cartoon
Poloitcal Cartoon
Obama is taking the consequences of choosing Biden instead of Hillary. This shows Obama walking out with a dog with a collar that says Biden and the procedure for the day is neutering. Which means Obama is regretting choosing Biden for his vice-president instead of Hilary. There is Palin standing in front of a door that says vet and she is wearing a white doctor coat and is taking off rubber coats. What this is implying that Palin is over powering Biden by being the first female to run for vice-president. McCain made a better choice for vice-president then Obama by choosing a female.
McCain: I was surprised to find out that he had gotten his arms broken during war beacuse he did not want to leave his warmates behind. I thiought that that was really kind and thoughtful of him. Make sure to include supporting details after your main details in your paragraphs. I would like to know more about McCains political career and how he got to where he is today.
I feel your major viewpoint about McCain is of his time he served in the navy, and how he was tortured. I think this because you added about his injuries.
I think you need to include more about his political career and why he decided to leave the navy to enter politics.
The biographical sketch on McCain is well a little bit sketchy and needs much more information. It did however support McCain and make him seem like “a good guy”. I did learn something from the blog and that was the story of McCain’s capture and how he stayed behind with his men. One thing I do question is why there is so little information on the blog when there is plenty of information out there.
